Appointments
Your initial appointment will be around an hour. During this time a history of your eating and weight will be taken. I ask you to bring a short food diary with you between 3-5 days.
During the initial assessment appointment we will plan goals of treatment and start thinking about how to move towards them. It is important to think about what your goals of treatment might be, but its ok to not be sure as well; we can think about that together.
Follow up appointments will be between 15 mins and an hour depending on what is needed. I am very flexible about what suits.
During this time we will look at beliefs around food and think about the evidence behind them, consider support or supervision needed, and I will provide psychoeducation around your eating disorder. We will also problem solve things that have come up since the last appointment and review progress and goals.
The frequency of follow up appointments is a collaborative decision, this could be weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
